Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening

Professional whitening safely lifts stains and brightens your smile by several shades under dentist supervision. At Auraliss, we use evidence-based gels and protective protocols to minimise sensitivity while delivering fast, natural-looking results.

Whitening Options

In-Clinic Whitening (45–60 min)

High-concentration gel applied in cycles with gum protection. Ideal for quick, visible results in a single visit.

Home Whitening Trays (10–14 nights)

Custom trays and dentist-grade gel used at home for gradual, controllable whitening and easy top-ups.

Combination Protocol

In-clinic jump-start plus home trays for maximum brightness and longer-lasting results.

Internal Bleaching (Single Dark Tooth)

For root-treated teeth discoloured from the inside; gel is placed within the tooth under isolation.

Who Is It For?

Adults with healthy gums and teeth who want to reduce yellowing or surface stains from coffee, tea, red wine or smoking.

  • Natural teeth with no untreated decay or active gum disease
  • Extrinsic stains and mild intrinsic discolouration
  • Patients preparing for veneers/crowns who want a lighter baseline shade

When Do We Postpone?

We delay whitening until essential care is completed if you have:

  • Untreated cavities, broken fillings or active gum inflammation
  • Severe tooth sensitivity (we first desensitise and remineralise)
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding (as a precaution)

What to Expect (Clinic Visit)

  • Shade recording, photos and soft-tissue protection
  • 1–3 gel cycles (8–15 min each), with careful monitoring
  • Fluoride / potassium nitrate for sensitivity control
  • Polish and final shade check; optional take-home kit

Longevity & Aftercare

Results commonly last 12–24 months depending on habits. For the first 48 hours follow a “white diet” (avoid coffee, tea, red wine, coloured sauces, smoking). Maintain with hygiene visits and occasional home top-ups.

Sensitivity & Safety

Temporary sensitivity is possible and usually settles within 24–48 hours. We tailor gel strength, exposure time and use desensitising agents to keep you comfortable and protect enamel.

Frequently Asked Questions

No—whitening only lightens natural tooth enamel. Existing restorations may need replacement to match your new shade.

Many patients see a change of 4–8 shades. Your starting colour, enamel thickness and habits influence the outcome.

Light activation can accelerate gel action, but dentist-grade gels are effective with or without a lamp. We’ll choose what fits your case best.

Most patients maintain once or twice a year with short home top-ups. We’ll guide you to a safe schedule based on sensitivity and lifestyle.
