Dental Implants

Dental implants are biocompatible titanium or zirconia roots that replace missing teeth and support crowns, bridges or full-arch prostheses. At Auraliss, implant care is planned digitally with CBCT, intraoral scanning and guided surgery to achieve precise, comfortable and long-lasting results.
Who Is a Candidate?
- Single or multiple missing teeth with adequate bone volume
- Full-arch restoration (e.g., All-on-4/All-on-6) for loose or failing teeth/dentures
- Healthy gums and good oral hygiene habits
- Non-smoker or willing to reduce/stop during healing
- Controlled medical conditions (assessed individually)
Suitability is confirmed with a clinical examination and CBCT bone scan.
Implant Treatment Options
- Single-Tooth Implant: Replaces one tooth with an implant + ceramic crown.
- Implant Bridge: Two or more implants support multiple missing teeth.
- Immediate Implant: Placed at the same time as an extraction (case dependent).
- Immediate Loading: Same-day temporary teeth in selected cases with high stability.
- Full-Arch (All-on-4/6): Screw-retained bridge on multi-unit abutments.
Treatment Workflow
- Consultation & CBCT: Bone/nerve mapping, photos and smile/bite analysis.
- Digital Planning: Prosthetic-driven positioning and (where indicated) guided surgery.
- Surgery: Atraumatic placement under local anaesthesia; sedation options available.
- Healing (Osseointegration): Typically 8–12 weeks for single sites, longer for grafted areas.
- Restoration: Digital scan, custom abutment (if needed) and final ceramic crown/bridge.

Aftercare & Maintenance
Soft diet during early healing, meticulous daily cleaning (interdental brushes/water flosser) and regular hygiene visits are essential. Nightguards are advised for clenchers/grinders to protect ceramics and implant components.

Success, Risks & Considerations
Modern implants have high success rates. Potential risks include early failure (rare), temporary swelling/bruising, screw loosening, or prosthetic chipping—usually manageable with review and maintenance. Smoking and uncontrolled gum disease increase complications; we stabilise these before treatment.
